Il Granaio delle Idee hosted at the Padua Trade Fair
From 12 to 20 May 2018, the Padua Bakers' Consortium hosted Il Granaio delle Idee at its stand during the 2018 edition of the Padua Trade Fair.
During the event, students from the Accademia delle Professioni Dieffe had the opportunity to get hands-on with dough, baking dozens of loaves every day using our concentrates:
• Nucleo® Curcuma: for bread with a distinctive yellow colour and a spicy flavour;
• Nucleo® Riso Venere: a purplish colour and a balanced flavour for a distinctive, elegant bread;
• Pane Funzionale Salus®: light, healthy bread with 7 nutritional benefits;
• Nucleo® Vitaminic: a dark bread with a bold flavour, featuring seeds and toasted flours.
The bread produced was sold to the public, and the proceeds were donated to charity.
Another successful initiative was the free daily distribution of mini baguettes made with Pane Funzionale Salus®, with a regular evening session during the week and two sessions at the weekend. This light, healthy bread offers no fewer than 7 nutritional benefits: reduced calorie content, low fat, reduced carbohydrates, high fibre, oat beta-glucans, high protein and reduced sodium. Salus was a success thanks to its unmistakable flavour as well as its health-promoting properties: it contains oat beta-glucans, soluble fibres that can reduce blood cholesterol levels.
Congratulations to the Dieffe students and our technical bakers for the wonderful breads they baked, and special thanks to the Padua Bakers' Consortium for their hospitality.
